Intro · Normal · Nightmare · Act 1 · Act 2 · Act 3 · Act 4 · Act 5 · Hell

I muled the ultimate low level weapon over to UltraLow before entering Act 2 - a Long Battlebow with 6 TALs. It's a one hit killer for about every normal monster in all of Nightmare, and even some of the bosses. 451 dmg over 5 seconds results in a total dmg of 2707. Just make them turn green and you're done. And that's not too hard if the critter is frozen by the Wizard's attacks :). I decided to socket Iratha's Helm with a flawed ruby. Other things I muled over were Steelclash and Rusthandle (+3 Vengance +3 Thorns +1 Pala skills @ lvl 18). I lost the +10 to vit from Pelta Lunate by switching to Steelclash, but +15 res all and +1 pala skills is more than a compensation IMO. The merc became Duskdeep as an upgrade.

Radament was the first boss who had to suffer the slow life drain from being poisoned. He seems to have some poison immuity, as it required several injections before he perished. He had no minions around to help him - all the skeletons were shatterd. The only thing that might have helped him was the lightning enchanting, that killed the merc several times. UltraLow was clever enough to avoid the sparks ;).

Getting to Coldworm The Burrower was a pain, with all these young Sand Maggots blocking the way. Not that they were a danger for UltaLow, as the merc chilled them easily, but it took quite a while until the reinforcements stopped. As I was unable to land a successfull hit with the bow on the Maggotqueen (at least he/she/it did not turn green), I switched to Bloodrise in the end.

  Lvl 19 Tal Rasha's Tomb
I was quite happy to find the entrance to the claw viper temple lvl 2 pretty quick. Dealing with all those skeletons and Mummies isn't too much fun. Fangskin spawned with a conviction aura beside the usualy LE. His mistake that he placed himself right beneath the tombstone so UltraLow could fire his poisoned arrows from the distance out of the aura range.

The way through the palace was done pretty quick. If you know the maps it's easy to run past the monsters without taking too much risk. On to the Arcane Sanctuary. The third branch was the right one this time. I cleared only half of the first ones, TPed out and got back in via the waypoint. I was a bit scared on the approach to the Summoner with only 33 fire resists when using the bow. To my surprise the quest button turned red before I could even see him - some missing arrows fired towards critters standing on the front edge of the platform must have done the job.

Oh well next thing of course was to clear Tal Rasha'a Tomb and find the entrance to the Chamber. This was the point were a real struggle began. Not that it got significantly harder for UltraLow to kill things, but I started to lose my patience. At some point I thought I could figure the Staff room from the partly revealed map and started running towards it, but had to realize that I was wrong. Of course UltraLow was in burning danger to get swarmed by skeletons, and had to TP out and get back in to the Tomb via the Canyon waypoint, falling back into the slow killing pace. I spent no less than 70 Minutes inside the Tomb to finally find the Chamber and get ready for Duriel. Hmm my Frenzy Barb was able to complete nearly two Hell Acts in the same time ...

Hmm I'm gonna change the placing of the captions. The way I did it before starts to give too much away ...

I entered the Chamber and the heartbeat went up a bit, but it should be survivable with 658 life. No time for mistakes tough ...

I switched to Steelclash and Rusthandle, using lvl 3 Vengance and lvl 6 Thorns. I have tried Vengance a few times before but usualy ran out of mana quickly. Not this time - Angelic Wings has 20% dmg goes to mana, so Duriel's Hits kept the blue bubble filled :). I had to open the inventory screen to drink potions from there - the Arctic belt has only 2 rows. This is a bit dangerous if you are knocked back by one of Duriel's Smite attacks while not attacking him drinking a potion, because it might allow him to land one of his charge attacks. It actually happend 1 or 2 times, but this is Nightmare and not Hell and the Charge attacks couldn't one hit kill UltraLow. I had to TP out once to refill healing potions and rejuvs from the stash, but finally Duriel had lost all of his blood to the Thorns. For those of you who care about the numbers: Chance to hit Duriel 40%, chance to be hit 95%, blocking 66%, life 643, mana 42, resists 67/75/73/19, vengance dmg 74-163. Oh forgot to mention in the last report that I have socketed some of the gear before entering the Canyon: A perfect Diamond in Steelclash, and a perfect Ruby in Arctic armor.
